30 Day Tourist Visa Exemption
Available on arrival to a number of nationalities including Australia, Canada, UK, so for most people staying less than 30 days this will be the visa you get on arrival.
Overland from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar those entitled to the above 30 day exemption will only receive 15 days if you enter Thailand overland at an immigration checkpoint which borders Thailand’s.
Tourist Visa
Applied for at a Thai Embassy allows for stays not exceeding 60 days with an extension of 30 days available from Office of the Immigration Bureau. Visa to be used with 90 days of obtaining it. A fee is payable

For business people who wish to visit Thailand for business purposes, for example, to attend a conference or training session, to conduct business with a Thailand-based organisation. Applied for at a Thai Embassy allows for stays not exceeding 90 days with an extension of 30 days available from Office of the Immigration Bureau. Visa to be used with 90 days of obtaining it. Working Holiday Visa
Australians aged between 18-30 years wishing to travel to and work temporarily in Thailand can apply for a Thailand-Australia Work and Holiday Visa.
1 year multiple entry Visa
Allows you to return multiple times to Thailand for a 90 day stay, after 90 days you can do a “visa run” where you leave and then return to Thailand. A number of Lawyers in Thailand can help you arrange this.
Retirement Visa
Available to those 50 years or older, proof of funds required. A number of Lawyers in Thailand can help you arrange this. Passport valid for not less than 18 months
General Visa Requirements
Passport must be valid for 6 month.
Recommended that you have a return/onward ticket (I have never been checked on this but it is probably good to be aware of)
